Home Builders

Where great builders do their best work.

We’ll be straightforward with you: building in a Siepmann community isn’t the path of least resistance. Our architectural standards are detailed, our review process is thorough, and we stay involved with architectural approvals long after the lots are sold.

We tell you this upfront because the builders who thrive here already know it – and consider it a competitive advantage.

When your clients buy a home in a Siepmann community, they move into a neighborhood where every surrounding home was held to the same standard as theirs. Property values hold. Resale appeal holds. And your reputation holds, too. Eighty years of developing Southeast Wisconsin’s most distinctive communities means the Siepmann name carries weight with buyers, and that weight transfers to the builders who work here.

What You Can Expect Working With Us

Our Architectural Standards

Our approach differs from the typical developer in a few specific ways builders should know about:

We require four-sided architecture, not just front-facing design. Side and rear elevations are reviewed with the same care as the street-facing front.

No two identical homes are permitted within sight of one another. If your plan has been used elsewhere in the community, we’ll ask you to modify it. We’ll work with you to get there.

We specify preferred exterior materials – including HardiPlank™, LP Smartside™ and GAF Weathered Wood Shingles – because what your neighbor builds affects the value of what you build. That standard is what keeps our communities desirable over time.

Detailed guidelines for each community are available in our Architectural Library. We recommend downloading them before your first conversation with us.
